What Is Your Lockdown Legacy Going To Be?
We all know that life is very different right now and have no idea what the future holds. As we ride this wave of uncertainty, you may be noticing changes.
There is the global story of the virus and it’s impact and every individual has their own reaction too. What’s been coming up for you?
Some people are getting restless and fed up, others more anxious and worried.
In this time of restriction and confinement, you will probably be feeling all of your deepest fears. It is difficult to avoid the uncomfortable thoughts and reactions that come up when you no longer have the distractions and busy-ness of normal life.
You may have noticed your relationships changing. Maybe you’re feeling closer to friends or family, some may have faded away.
Perhaps you’re finding that it’s a good time to let go of habits that don’t make you feel good. Or you’re wanting to look after yourself better. In times of stress, we tend to fall back on the short term feel good behaviours, such a binging on biscuits or a glass of wine every night. I’m the first to say do whatever get’s you through and don’t judge yourself - if you’re going to binge on biscuits then make sure you enjoy them!
But if these behaviours leave you feeling unhappy, guilty or out of control, now is a great time to make some decisions. Some people I’ve spoken to who don’t want to waste this opportunity, that they want to have something to show for their time locked away.
One of those is H. I wanted to create some videos to demonstrate the incredible power of EFT and she has agreed to record our sessions. H has been a social smoker for years and has decided now is the time to kick the habit once and for all. You will be able to watch her story unfold - more details on that to follow soon…
Any change can feel daunting - ‘Do I need to change my whole life?’, ‘How do I change? What do I do?’ but the reality can be a very minor shift. If you change the course of a ship by just a few degrees, it will end up in a completely different destination, you don’t need to do a 180.
What would you like to change in this Lockdown? If you could wave a wand and emerge like a new butterfly from it’s cocoon, what would be different? What would be the same?
